Fundamental Foot Care – Hampden

Fundamental Foot Care logoHeather Fogg, RN, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 2019 when she established Fundamental Foot Care. In 2023, she reached her biggest milestone yet, opening a comfortable and clean physical space for footcare services and gatherings at 735 Main Road North in Hampden, ME.

The launch of Fundamental Foot Care stemmed from the realization that feet are often overlooked in the traditional healthcare system. Fundamental Foot Care provides compassionate medicinal foot care to private homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, elder communities, and hospitals. They offer routine preventative care as well as treatment for illnesses.

Over the course of 4+ years, Heather has expanded to other regions of Maine and trained and hired additional RNs to provide services. She turns to Alison for guidance on scaling up and regular meetings to cover topics such as workforce development, financial projections, bookkeeping, time management, and marketing.

She remains thankful for the support and assistance received through the SBDC as she started and expanded her business. She comments, “Small business ownership can be lonely if you are a sole proprietor. Having a consultant from the SBDC gives you someone to bounce ideas and plans off and provides help in areas where you may be weak.”
