Olivia Luedee opened Keepsake Bridal in Thomaston after returning home to Midcoast Maine. She had nearly a decade of bridal industry experience and a clear vision for a boutique that felt personal, distinctive, and rooted in care. After years in the wedding world, and after going through the dress shopping process as a bride herself, Olivia saw an opportunity to bring something different to the region.
Keepsake Bridal offers curated wedding dresses, bridal accessories, mother’s dresses, and men’s suiting through private, personalized appointments. Olivia wanted to build a boutique where brides could feel calm, seen, safe, and genuinely cared for while finding something that felt true to them. Her collection is thoughtfully selected for quality, craftsmanship, individuality, and a vintage inspired point of view.
Opening a bridal boutique had long been a dream, but for the first time, the timing and opportunity felt aligned. She knew what she wanted Keepsake Bridal to feel like, and she knew the experience she wanted to offer. The challenge was turning that deeply personal creative vision into a viable business.
During the startup phase, she reached out to Maine SBDC for direction, clarity, and help understanding whether her idea could work financially. She also received support from SCORE as she moved through the launch process.
Working with Business Advisor Jenn Dobransky, Olivia moved from vision to action. Jenn guided her through building a detailed business plan to present to lenders and as a roadmap. Together, they laid out goals for the first two years as well as year five, giving Olivia a clearer understanding of the financial foundation behind her dream.
“I was searching for direction and clarity during the startup process and wanted to make sure my idea was truly viable, not just a far-fetched dream. Jenn helped me work through the business side of the vision and gave me the confidence to move forward. Her guidance and belief in me made a real difference.”
That preparation helped Olivia approach lenders with confidence. “The banks I approached were all impressed at my business plan and the level of detail, information and projections I was able to provide them,” she added.
Today, Keepsake Bridal reflects Olivia’s commitment to authenticity, hospitality, and meaningful bridal fashion. Looking ahead, she hopes to grow her gown collection, expand designer partnerships, and deepen her focus on vintage and vintage inspired bridal. Her goal is for Keepsake Bridal to become a recognized destination in Maine and throughout New England for brides seeking something personal, distinctive, and one of a kind.
