The Maine Small Business Development Centers (Maine SBDC), a state-wide program that helps entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Shannon Byers as Business Advisor in their Bangor office located at Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI). Byers will provide business advising to new and existing entrepreneurs and small businesses in Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties.
Byers has an MBA from the University of Maine and is a graduate of the Maine Development Foundation’s Leadership Maine Chi class. In addition to owning and operating her own business, she brings almost 20 years of experience in new product and service development in the biomedical field. Byers is passionate about small business and comes from a family of entrepreneurs.
“Shannon is a great addition to our team,” commented Maine SBDC State Director Mark Delisle. “She has a dynamic small business and educational background and is familiar with the SBDC and our vital role in the Maine economy.”
