Services Site contains a wide range of information on benefits, a resource guide to veteran facilities around the state and a Veterans links page of state and federal government agencies. The Bureau is housed under Maine's Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management. Center for Veterans Enterprise Online Registry

The Veterans Administration's VetBiz online registry is where veteran business owners can inform potential government and corporate buyers about their capacity and capability to perform to Federal requirements. The site is also meant to inform agencies, contracting officers and businesses about veterans and service-disabled veterans in business, the products and services they offer and how to contact them.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Service-disabled veterans are eligible for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program and DBE Supportive Services funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Administered by the Maine Department of Transportation, the programs offer services and resources to help DBEs develop into viable, self-sufficient businesses that can compete for federally-assisted highway and bridge projects.

Maine Career Center Veterans' Representative The Maine Department of Labor Career Center offers specialized employment and training services for Veterans. If you served in the U.S. Armed Forces a CareerCenter Veterans' Representative can help you find a job, get new skills, or access other state or federal resources available to Veterans.

Maine Military Community Network The MMCN is a collaborative effort by Maine organizations, volunteers, and others, to raise awareness about the challenges military service members, veterans, and their families may face. 

Maine Women's Business Center Offers free one-on-one business assistance and workshops on topics ranging from record-keeping and financials and applying for a business loan to child care business management and websites/e-Commerce.

Veterans Business Development Corporation Also referred to as the Veterans Corporation or TVC, the website hosts a wide range of tools, information and resources to help veterans start, expand and succeed in small business. TVC was established by Congress to expand the services and improve access to technical assistance in entrepreneurship for veterans. It works with the private and public sectors to help veterans establish and grow their small business. 

National Veteran Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) Advocacy organization promotes use of veteran-owned businesses by the federal and corporate sectors. 

Northeast Veterans Business Resource Center (NVBRC) NVBRC offers free virtual and physical classes across New England and New York state to eligible veterans who want to start or rehabilitate their business. The center also offers memberships to access software, specialized mentoring and counseling, networking events, guest speakers, equipment rental, and to Center partners and their resources.

Maine PTAC Part of a nationwide network of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, or PTACs. We work with Maine-based companies that are interested in selling their products and/or services to local, state or federal government agencies, either as prime contractors or subcontractors. Maine PTAC's experienced counselors provide a wide range of counseling services to assist Maine PTAC clients market to government agencies and government prime contractors.

SCORE Information on business loans available to veterans, podcasts, online Q&A and hotlinks to useful websites. A resource partner with the Small Business Administration, SCORE's 12,400 volunteer counselors offer free and confidential advice to small business entrepreneurs. http://www.score.org/veteran.html SBA Office of Veterans Business Development General information and an extensive list of resources. www.sba.gov/VETS A live helpline to post questions on self-employment and assistance to veteran small business owners. Guard and Reservists have a group of resources including a business planning guide outlining tasks to before, during and after deployment.
