The federal government is the largest consumer of supplies and services in the world. Small business are given preference, making federal contracting extremely attractive.

This primer offers an overview of government contracting, opportunties for small business, how to get started and where to get assistance.

The Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is a cooperative program of Eastern Maine Development Corporation and the Defense Logistics Agency with support from the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development and other state and community stakeholders.
