*Western Maine Market - Virtual Farmers Market The Western Maine Market is a virtual marketplace where you can purchase food grown and made locally in the western Maine region. During the growing season (March - September), all orders are picked up on Tuesdays from 4-6 pm at the Tranten's Grocery Store on Main St. in Farmington.

Umaine Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition Home The Laboratories of Dr. Alfred Bushway have offered process and product reviews at no cost to the small businesses of Maine since 1995. These services were offered as a means of stimulating small food related businesses in the state. State regulations allow in-state sale of these products as long as a recognized process authority has approved them.
