Professional Background: Small business owner in Maine for 14 years. Taught business communications for colleges in the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Formerly, a Maine court mediator, director of marketing, college career counselor, and federal evaluator for a microlending program.
Accomplishments, honors, recognitions: 2010 U.S. Small Business Administration’s Women in Business Champion in Maine, as well as in New England. Served as a Business Planning Consultant with the U.S. Trade Adjustment Assistance program in 2011- 2012, working with lobstermen and blueberry growers. Participated as an instructor in the first-ever United States Cod Academy, funded by NOAA. Wrote The Graphic Designer’s Guide to Better Business Writing, published by Allworth Press in 2007. Recipient of the 2006 Apex Award for Professional Communications.
